This is the trail out to Bell Rock in Sedona, AZ. It is 1.1 miles from the parking lot to the rock.

Here's Fene! All dressed for a desert hike.

Again, more plant life that takes the "desolate" out of desert.

Our view of Courthouse butte.

We of course took advantage of every place to sit in the shade. It was about 95 degrees but we were not detered.

Couple of shots and we get underway again.

I've always wanted to say it..."Marilyn Rocks!"

...and she climbs...

...all the way to the top baby...

It's getting pretty hard going. Get your butt down here young lady!

See the face in the rock. Kind of a skull at the top center of the photo.

We wanted to get closer to the top - it was a gorgeous view.

So up we went.

It wasn't very difficult but took a little bit of rock climbing ability.

Pretty good spot for a rest.

The great explorer...

I think I see Indians....

...nope just beautiful scenery.

We've climbed a little higher here.

Bell Rock is the center of a Vortex. The compass didn't spin but it was a very peaceful place. I can see why the Indians considered this land sacred.
