We arrived early in the morning and as we came to the first pull off we were just in awe.

Marilyn had no fear, she climbed right over the fence that said "Fall Risk, Proceed at your own risk."

I would go no where near the edge. Just an unusual fear of falling I suppose.

Just everywhere we looked it was like we walked into a postcard.

Pretty girl and a big hole.

Marilyn was in awe of the shots so easily framed.

As I said I have an unusual fear of falling into the mile deep hole. Who'd have thought.

But with some convincing (and our traditional 6th grade peer pressure) I was able to push fear aside and grasp the grandness of the chasm.

And Marilyn just ran right over and dangled her legs over the edge. "Get your butt back here" was my constant mantra that day.

See, nowhere near the edge.

Then there was the wild animals we had to contend with.

We kept our distance as they are prone to spontaneous attack at any moment.

I was practicing my "No Fear" policy and approached the wild beast with caution. Africa here I come.

Can you see the Colorado River waaaaayyyyy down there.

Another kind person stopped to help us forever capture our presense at the Big Hole.

Beautiful overlook.
