The Spanish Moss was everywhere - it made the trees look haunted. Contrary to what I thought, the moss does not actually hurt the tree like misletoe - the moss is an air plant and they coexist nicely.

Our friends, Nancy and David McAllister took us to the beautiful Capital City restaurant on top of the tallest building in Ralleigh. Nancy is a publisher we work with and David is a professor at North Carolina State University. We had a wonderful time the next night at a Jazz club where David plays piano in a Dixie Band.
