To blend in with the locals we took up fishing.	Beautiful skies in Halstead.		Kansas is very flat.	Marilyn playing with the crickets.	I love all the farmer stands.
Kansas is known as the Sunflower State. We came up on some fields not yet in bloom.			This guy was an early bird.	Well our fishing paid off, we had dinner that night. A catfish and a largemouth bass. I caught the catfish and Marilyn caught the other.	As you can see fishing is engrained the small town culture of Halstead. I had never seen a Bait vending machine.
	This was one of the best looking Post Offices I have ever seen. Everything was polished wood, brick and brass.	Okay, now I've seen everything - Burgers and Bait restaurant.	After the wheat fields are cut they role the straw and let it dry in the fields for weeks.	Just 2 days later that same field started blooming all at once.
I thought this one was award winning.	This was a lovely establishment in Wichita.
