There is one thing about Texas, they put everything on poles.

Trucks, boats, horses...everything!

This was a lovely group to camp next to for a week. I think there was a total of 6 chihuahua and 1 Yorkie. You should have heard the barking when we cam out the door.

Statue of Sam Houston, one of the early Generals after the Alamo.

Our first look at Houston, Texas. Very pretty city.

There was a great showing of the Machu Picchu exhibit at the Houston Museum of Science.

I think I see my Mummy!

And there is Marilyn's Mummy.

Hey...its eating me!

Outside of Houston there is a park called Forbidden Gardens. A Chinese businessman built a scaled down version of the Terra Cotta Soldiers of Xian and the Forbidden City in Bejing. It was a great exhibit.

This is the complete Terra Cotta Soldier gravesite at 1/3 scale.

The Forbidden City was done at 1/20 scale. The detail was terrific.
