It Has Been So Long...

 

It has been so long since we updated the website, I'll bet a few of you thought we disappeared into the sunset altogether. As tempting as that sounds we are now on our way back to California for a little settling down time. We have driven over 13,000 miles since April and have seen some of the best this country has to offer. As you can see from the Map we have not been in every state but we have seen 23 of them and one foreign city, Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

We have focused on seeing as many far flung friends as possible. We were joined by a few of them in Memphis Tennessee for our 40th birthday celebration. We had 8 women descend on Memphis and had a blast at Elvis' Mansion, Beale St, and even a cruise down the Mississippi in a paddle boat. It was very nice to have our friends around us during such a milestone.

Going through photos has reminded me that we have done so much this year. We have seen beautiful places, amazing bodies of water, historic monuments and cultural icons. We have been to 26 states and have only gleaned a little from each one, there is so much to see, we could spend years discovering it all.

We have had the good fortune to also keep very busy with our Internet business and have now suspended our travel to weekends only so we can handle the new business that is coming our way. We are currently in Carlsbad, New Mexico and will be visiting the Carlsbad Caverns, the largest underground caverns in the world. We will also be stopping by the UFO Museum in Roswell and will maybe boondock out in the desert to see if we can find any of the Aliens still flying around late at night. We are on our way to Sedona by way of Albuquerque and will spend Thanksgiving there with our friends Christy and Dennis.

There are a ton of pictures to see as I have not been updating our website often. Take your time and visit back when you have time to see more. I have taken the best of Marilyn's photos and put them here for all of you. We have had such a good time photographing our adventures, we hope you enjoy them.
