We finally got up to Calistoga, above Napa Valley, and were anxious to get into our mud bath. The hotel we stayed in has been offering it's sulfar baths for over 100 years.
Reading up on the wine tasting to come.
Aaaaahhhhhh! This was the best feeling ever. Well at least Fene thought so. The mud was so thick you actually sat on top of it and had to be pushed down into the mud. Yes...yes the mud went in every crack and orifice. We stayed in this tub for 15 minutes and then soaked in a wet hot tub for 20 minutes and then we were wrapped in towels in a serenity room for another 30 minutes. Does a girl good to have a litte pampering.
This is the only time she smiled during the whole time.
Tall trees and sunshine - we hiked a little on the way to the wineries.
Beringer Winery. This is the original house built by the Beringer brothers when they built the winery 100 years ago.
Marilyn couldn't wait to get her hands on some grapes.
The gift shop at Beringers is now in the old house. The craftsmanship was stunning.
